From Numbers to Impact: My Journey So Far

In 2018, I launched my own practice – not just to manage numbers, but to help leaders use them to build futures they believe in. Over time, I merged finance with coaching, strategy, and systems thinking – and founded Vales Group, a network of companies all dedicated to one mission: helping businesses grow with clarity, structure, and purpose.
First Steps Into Entrepreneurship (2005)
I launched my very first business – a small clothing brand – from the attic of my parents’ home. I had no roadmap, no investors, and no idea what I was getting into… just passion, energy, and a dream. We didn’t turn a profit in the first year, but that tiny attic became the foundation for everything I would go on to build. It taught me how to figure things out, how to lead, and how to never give up.
Growth & Expansion (2007–2012)
Over the next few years, we expanded into a real business – 16 staff, two retail shops, and thousands of customers. It was intense, messy, and magical. In 2012, I sold the business and moved to the UK with big hopes and a bigger sense of purpose. It was a chapter filled with lessons in leadership, resilience, and how to grow something real from absolutely nothing.
Smart Accounting is Born (2015)
After a few years working in UK accounting firms, I saw what so many business owners were struggling with: not just tax and numbers, but clarity, confidence, and control. I founded Smart Accounting & Finance Services in 2015 to be different – to bring empathy, strategy, and personal support into what’s traditionally a dry, transactional industry.
From Numbers to Strategy (2017–2019)
As I worked more closely with business owners, I realised they didn’t just need accounting – they needed clarity. I naturally began coaching them: helping them make smarter decisions, build stronger systems, and finally understand their business on a deeper level. That’s when I stepped fully into the world of strategic consulting – and it changed everything.
Vales Group & My Frameworks (2020–2022)
To bring everything together – the accounting, coaching, systems, and strategy – I founded Vales Group, a network of businesses that help companies grow from the inside out. I created two powerful methods: BRIGHT Business Transformation™ and the Accounting 360° Solution™. These tools are now the foundation of the work I do with clients worldwide.
Where I Am Now (2023–Present)
Today, I’m proud to work with ambitious business owners, founders, and leadership teams across industries. I help them save time, reduce tax burdens, build systems that scale, and grow businesses they actually love. I’ve built a business that reflects who I am – strategic, optimistic, grounded, and deeply committed to helping others succeed.
